Location: Hybrid role with Standard Life House in Edinbuirgh as main location. At least once a quarter to attend office.

The role
We’re currently recruiting for a Senior Proposition Manager to join our Direct to Customer Proposition team.
Our newly established Direct to Customer Proposition team, operating under the Standard Life brand, is tasked with designing fresh and engaging propositions for direct customers. We are a small, creative and enthusiastic team who are determined to deliver positive outcomes for direct customers by combining many years of industry experience with deep customer insight, and innovation.
The successful candidates will play a leading role in developing new products and propositions from initiation through Proof of Concept and into full launches.
Key Responsibilities
- Working collaboratively with other proposition teams and wider business areas/OSPs to ensure that the proposition meets customer needs and supports Phoenix Group's business objectives
- Working with cross-functional delivery teams to agree priorities and ensure that journeys include all of the specified proposition elements
- Ability to understand needs of different stakeholder groups (customer, shareholder, employer, adviser etc) and may make judgement calls when potential conflicts arise
- Assimilating complex and detailed technical information to present in a clear, understandable and persuasive way for a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
- Develop and manage products/propositions in order to add maximum value by successfully influencing key internal areas to ensure products can be delivered as intended.

We’re looking for a person who is passionate about helping customers to look forward to a lifetime of possibilities and the imagination and determination to follow this through.
Experience of taking propositions and enhancements to market is important. Working closely with colleagues across the business e.g. digital, marketing, investments, legal, commercial, operations, risk etc is a key part of the role.

Leading and being part of teams to achieve a common goal and purpose is at the heart of this role. You are known for your ability to set direction, collaborate, build and maintain great working relationships plus the ability to communicate and manage a wide range of stakeholders in an engaging way. Strong communication skills are essential.
A key part of the role is working with others to find solutions to sometimes quite complex problems so if you like puzzles and solving problems, this might be a good role for you.
