Position Description:
Fixed Income professionals at Morgan Stanley Wealth Management leverage key thought leaders to deliver market commentary, advice and actionable ideas to Financial Advisors and clients.We assist in everything from portfolio strategy to portfolio construction and monitoring of FI allocations.
Primary Responsibilities:
Wealth Management Fixed Income Salespeople are responsible for facilitating and promoting sales/trading activity in Fixed Income products with Wealth Management Financial Advisors. Candidate must have a strong interest in the Credit and Interest Sensitive Markets, and possess excellent written and oral communication skills. A fast-paced and intense environment requires an aptitude for analyzing and interpreting often complex information in a timely manner.
- -Facilitate fixed income transactions and sales with upper tier Wealth Management Financial Advisors. Demonstrate the ability to engage Financial Advisors with market commentary and implement relative value trade ideas based on current market conditions
- -Promote sales ideas by calling on Financial Advisors with product offerings
- -Collaborate with traders, credit analysts and strategists to analyze and assess positions currently held in client accounts as well as source additional positions to facilitate client inquiry.
- -Perform portfolio reviews of client accounts and propose potential reallocation strategies to take advantage of current market opportunities
- -Participate in presenting content at Branch Offices and Regional Financial Advisor meetings as well as join in Global Partner sponsored events
Requirements
- -Minimum 1 year of experience in Fixed Income Sales & Trading
- -Fundamental understanding of global credit/interest markets
- -Ability to identify investment opportunities and analyze client portfolios
- -Comfortable presenting to large audiences
- -FINRA Series 7 & 66(63, 65) or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire date
Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $57,000 and $110,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
