Job Description
Business development activities, including participating in the entire sales cycle from top of funnel lead generation activities to closing Fintech Fast Track deals with a clients.
Understand the evolving Fintech landscape and identify companies that would be a good fit for our products and programs
Serve as a Fintech subject matter expert while working to create an ecosystem of enablement partners (BIN sponsors, issuer processors, and program managers) that are committed to working with Visa and emerging Fintechs
Build understanding of Visa sales methodology - consultative selling of Visa’s product and solutions.
Work directly with Fintechs to ensure that Fintechs are matched with appropriate enablement partners in our ecosystem given Fintech goals and enablement partner capabilities.
Help develop new and emerging segment clients
Craft strategies and materials for client meetings
Manages projects from scope to completion
Works collaboratively with broad cross functional teams
Desk research skills - e.g., prospecting analysis, qualitative & quantitative industry or market specific research
Relationship building internally, externally and cross functionally
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Relocation assistance is not available for this role.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
• 2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)
Preferred Qualifications
• 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
• The ideal candidate will have an interest in working with early to mid-stage FinTech startups
• Ability to work within a complex and often ambiguous environment, and ability to guide the relevant stakeholders
• Willingness to learn and ability to partner, communicate and manage/navigate through multiple disciplines and organizational groups
• Team oriented, client-focused, collaborative, diplomatic, with an entrepreneurial mindset, fearless when it comes to challenging the status quo
• Experience and/or passion and understanding of the financial services (payments) and startup ecosystem(s), preferred but not required
• Bachelor’s degree required

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 113,700.00 to 160,600.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
