ABOUT THE CAMPAIGNS & CREATIVE SERVICES TEAM
The Campaigns & Creative Services team is a leading Democratic political consulting firm with a record of winning tough races. We are a team of operatives, campaign managers and strategists and have an in-house creative studio that specializes in brand strategy, video production, copywriting and design. We serve as strategic and creative partners to our clients, helping them solve their biggest challenges and win races. Strategy and storytelling are at the heart of our craft. We develop our clients' message and deliver it to the right people with the right creative. We script, produce, edit and place TV, digital and radio ads in multiple states and markets and so much more.
ABOUT THIS ROLE
BerlinRosen is seeking a Production Associate to join our growing team for the 2024 campaign cycle. This person will oversee the production of direct mail programs for Democratic campaigns in local, state-wide and national targeted races. They will keep projects on their deadlines and optimize systems to ensure we’re operating effectively and efficiently, all toward the goal of helping Democratic candidates win office.
Print production experience is not required for this role.
Role duration: This is a temporary, full-time position that will run from August 2024 through December 31, 2024.
Role hours: Please note this is not a typical 9-5 role. During political busy season, we are expecting this employee to work frequently after hours, including nights and weekends. A typical work day could be 10a.m.-to-9p.m.
Role location: This role is based in our New York, N.Y. office on a hybrid basis. The Campaign & Creative Services team is in-office at least 3 times a week.
ACCOUNTABILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
As a Production Associate on the Campaigns & Creative Services team, you will…
- Manage all print production-related (direct mail) communications and updates from both internal and external partners, including account staff, printers and finance & operations
- Maintain constant communication over slack, email, etc. with account staff to monitor the status of various direct mail jobs
- Manage timelines on deliverables on behalf of account and design team members to ensure they remain on-task with all existing and upcoming assignments
- Coordinate print schedules with account staff and printers to ensure maximum savings by combining printing opportunities
- Quickly identify any disruptions in production and connect with the accounts team to resolve them in real time
- Transmit art and data files when ready to our print vendors
- Secure bids from our print vendors for custom projects
Essential skills:
- 3+ years of experience in a high-volume, fast-paced and quickly changing environment
- Attention to detail, a keen eye for noticing quality issues (used throughout the print production process) and strong organization skills for high volume workloads
- Strong communication skills, allowing you to stay on top of multiple communication channels and follow up with relevant questions when needed, while also providing clarity on inquiries from clients and client managers
- Ability to work as a self-starter and prioritize urgent tasks along with being able to adjust to continuously changing needs and deadlines
- Ability to effectively problem solve and resolve conflicts
- Proficient computer skills with systems, such as Google Workspace, along with communications and project management tools
- Positive, team player attitude to proactively tackle tasks and work with the team to collaboratively solve problems
- Print production experience is not required for this role
