Northrop Grumman’s Mission Systems (NGMS) Sector, Emerging Capabilities Development (ECD) area is seeking a Sr. Principal Contract Administrator to support the ATSP program. This position is located in Linthicum, MD. The job assignment supports a large Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract with a variety Task Orders supporting all NGC Sectors. Although a hybrid work schedule is preferred, the opportunity to work remotely will be considered.
What You'll Get To Do:
Responsibilities:
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Negotiate, administer, extend, and close standard and nonstandard contracts
Provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications
Establishing successful working relationships with customers via email, telephone, and in-person as appropriate
Administer Intercompany Work Orders (IWO)
Collaborate effectively with the program team (finance, supply chain, quality & mission assurance, legal, pricing, and compliance) to recommend and complete actions to ensure satisfactory program performance
Work with program business management team to closely monitor contract funding and payments
Lead solicitation and RFP review/analysis, proposal preparation, and signoff
Examine estimates of material, equipment services, production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness
Advise management of contractual rights and obligations
Compile and analyze data
Maintain historical information including official correspondence
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of Business, Law or related work experience or Master’s degree with 6+ years of Business, Law or related work experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
Ability to use Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point, and Teams
Must be able to maintain a DoD Secret Clearance;
Familiarity with contract terms and conditions and in proposal development, negotiation, and contract administration;
Understanding of commercial/US Government contractual instruments including contract type, terms and conditions, and contract financing vehicles;
Demonstrated leadership qualities; ability to start, oversee, and follow-through with major assignments and responsibilities;
Must be a team player and proactive
Possess strong problem solving and organizational skills to successfully manage this high volume contract vehicle
Preferred Qualifications:
Active Secret level security clearance
Experience in the Aerospace Industry
Extensive DoD Contracting experience with USG and Prime customers
Experience working restricted programs, proven ability to work in closed program areas.

Salary Range: $104,900 - $157,300
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
