Location: New Jersey/Pennsylvania/Delaware preferred but will consider remote for the right candidate if they're not local.
Duration: 12/31/2024 to start. Will likely extend
Rate: Based on market rates and candidate - C2C
Role: Solution Architect (banking / credit card)
Solution Architect Responsibilities: - This architect would work on multiple projects.
- Won't get involved in low level design.
- Works closely with business owners to come up with high level architecture.
- Solves: What systems do we have to create to solve this business problem?
- At a high level, this is how we're going to solve this business problem with different systems.
- High level vision role but not enterprise architect level
- Will partner and collaborate with other LOB architects, delivery team, and key business owners.
- Peer review with other architects
- Not an enterprise architect and not application architect. This solution architect is in between those two layers.
- Application centric solution architect (3-5 years in this role) not infrastructure or security focused.
- Java environment
- Career journey: Java developer to lead to manager to architect / solution architect is the typical background
- 10-15 years of experience minimum
- Core architecture - bring a big solution together with multiple components
Must have skills: - 10-15 years in the in software
- Must have worked as an application solution architect minimum 3-5 years
- Must have worked in a Java environment (ideally most recently)
- Must have been involved in moving one application from on prem to cloud and has ideally been involved in several instances of this
- Azure experience in particular is nice to have but not required
- Banking industry background
- Ideally has credit card experience
Preferred but not required: Ideally has TSYS
Soft Skills: Must have communicated with multiple groups and stakeholders
Must have excellent communication
Location: NJ/PA/DE preferred to come into Mt Laurel/Wilmington. They're in 2 days a week.
Will be flexible on remote for a great candidate but will have to be onsite if they ever go FTE.
