Description
Summary The Business Development & Marketing intern is responsible for helping promote the mission and purpose of Gulf Coast Bank & Trust to the community. Duties may include and are not limited to, monitoring, and supporting the company's social media accounts, assisting the marketing team with various events and philanthropic programs, and completing tasks related to various bank-related email marketing campaigns.
Responsibilities - Redesign email campaigns to better promote and more aesthetically appeal to customers.
- Graphically redesign and improve flyers used at Trade shows to increase customer attraction.
- Perform competitive research to better understand trends in the market and document findings in campaigns.
- Provide new clients access to external tools to assist in acquiring/locating new business and request online reviews.
- Support in clerical duties and office management responsibilities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Skills/Experience/Education - Minimum preferred cumulative GPA of 3.0
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree or Master's degree, recent graduates may be considered.
- Academic majors in Marketing, Graphic Design, or similar fields of study, preferred.
- Be a highly motivated self-starter who takes initiative.
- Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Possesses critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis. Please note, Gulf Coast Bank & Trust will not provide any assistance or sign any documentation to support immigration sponsorship or benefit including but not limited to optional practical training (OPT) or curricular practical training (CPT).
Essential Mental & Physical Requirements - Ability to travel if required to perform the essential job functions.
- Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines.
- Ability to read and interpret a document if required to perform the essential job functions.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer may be required.
- Ability to lift/move/carry approximately 15 pounds if required to perform the essential job functions. If the employee is unable to lift/move/carry this weight and can be accommodated without causing the department/division any "undue hardship" then the employee must be accommodated; hence omitting lifting/moving/carrying as a physical requirement.
