Job Summary: Raytheon is seeking an Associate Director Business Development, Naval Power Undersea Programs (ADBD, NPUP) to coordinate business development activities and create new opportunities to drive top line growth for the Naval Power (NP), Naval Integrated Solutions (NIS) product line. The ADBD will lead business development efforts for undersea programs. The ABDB will be responsible for delivering new business solutions to U.S. Navy and international customers by leveraging Raytheon solutions and capabilities.
Specific responsibilities include support of capture teams to include monitoring and reporting on capture status, management of New Business Investment (NBI) resources, conducting market assessments, lead generation and qualification, customer relationship management development, and execution of capture strategies in support of business unit growth targets. The ADBD will be accountable for relationships and interaction with US Government agencies and international customers to develop new business, share information and to immediately resolve issues as required. As a member of the NIS business development team, the ADBD will work closely with the other Business Units, Functional Business Areas, Naval Power Programs and Product Area Directorates, Business Development Executives (BDE), and Raytheon International country teams. You will ensure collaboration and alignment of all strategies to drive customer satisfaction across the regions and will report directly to the NIS BDE.
This position is a hybrid role, and the selected applicant will work with the hiring manager to set schedule.
Responsibilities to Anticipate: - Act as the Naval Power expert on U.S. Navy Undersea Domain; systems, effectors, technology, CONOPS, people and priorities Execute an undersea business development strategy to meet growth targets
- Execute business development strategy to meet growth targets
- Coordinate and execute a prioritized plan of action and milestones that focuses on closing pursuits inside of the current Annual Operating Plan (AOP), and the Long-Range Plan
- Collaborate internally and with our partners to plan, coordinate and execute capture strategies for undersea pursuits
- Coordinate and manage NBI, capture and proposal gate reviews, new business assessment and pipeline reviews, Competitive Intelligence, technical and customer engagements
- As an enterprise player, lead by example and provide professional and technical expertise to the business development team, Raytheon, and our global customers
- Domestic travel for customer engagements and tradeshows with some international travel up to 25%
Basic Qualifications:- Typically requires a university degree in science, technology or equivalent experience and a minimum 12 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and 10 years' experience
- Submarine officer with expertise with Navy undersea domain technology, operations, and platforms
- 12+ years of experience in government, defense, aerospace or related industry
- A current active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance is required prior to start date
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:- Relevant government and/or industry experience with an established network across government to include U.S. Navy OPNAV staff, Naval Sea Systems Command, research lab organizations and/or Navy operational commands
- Ability to be creative, innovative, take initiative, and act with speed and agility for advantage
- Familiarity with requirements generation, resource sponsors, and/or program management experience
- Familiarity with the business development process or previous business development experience with industry
- Familiarity with Foreign Military Sales (FMS) and Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) acquisition processes
- Certified Program Manager (or equivalent)
- Certified Capture Manager (or equivalent)

The salary range for this role is 143,000 USD - 287,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
