The Local Account Manager is responsible for building, expanding, and maintaining business and relationships with Indigo's prioritized growers and partners within the sales territory. The mix of What You'll Do below will vary based on growth opportunities in the territory and the corresponding targets.
The ideal candidate for this position would be located in Central to Southern Central Illinois.Business Development- Collaborate closely with sales leaders to develop strategic plans to identify business development opportunities, scale partner relationships, and grower enrollments through partners
- Hit or exceed new partner accounts and targets within partner segmentation or region
- Present and articulate Carbon by Indigo program and its value proposition to partner
- Confidently lead technical presentations and demos to clearly and enthusiastically articulate Indigo's value proposition without the need of a product/tech expert in the early stages of the sales cycle
- Log work in Salesforce with the ability to provide leadership weekly updates; required attendance and presentation in Leadership Meetings
- Understand competitive offerings in market and be able to articulate Indigo value compared to competition
- Aspire to stay within constructed contractual frameworks; identifying best fit of contract for partner
- Leverage ROI analysis and Field Explorer to collaborate on target enrollment goals and build a business case for success
- Build strong relationships with prospects by positioning yourself as a trusted and reliable resource in their specific industry

Own Account Management Throughout Customer Journey- Support partners hitting carbon targets with customized strategies and prospecting
- Set strong expectations during every touchpoint with the partners by aspiring to build confidence and responsibility in owning a new Carbon offering
- Assume responsibility for issue communication and fast resolution with partners
- Support and educate partners throughout enrollment process
- Partner with Customer Success to support data harvest targets as defined in the goals of contract.
- Partner with Agronomy to support discussions around practice change expansion while providing referral leads to partners from the Agronomy Partner Channel
- Collaborate with the Partner Success team to ensure the Partner experience and enablement needs are met
- Take a proactive approach communicating with partners, flagging marketing trends, account needs, and product and service improvements
Build Internal and External Relationships- Build relationships in territory with industry players, i.e. seed retailers, grain elevators, co-ops, and equipment dealers
- Attend and provide support at grower field events and webinars
- Serve as the voice of the customer, communicate partner feedback to the Carbon team
- Collaborate with Indigo stakeholders, including Agronomists, Customer Success, and sales team members from Indigo's wider product portfolio
A Day in the Life- 60% Travel (Account Management, Program Promotion and Sales Support)
- 20%: Relationship Building with regional organizations, partners and influencers
- 10% Forecasting, Territory Management Planning, Salesforce Record keeping
- 10% Education and Programmatic Learning
What You'll Bring- 5+ years of demonstrated experience meeting and exceeding challenging sales targets
- Bachelor's Degree in Agribusiness, Agronomy or a related subject preferred
- Agriculture or ag-tech industry experience required
- Passion for hunting new accounts and developing industry relationships
- Demonstrated adaptability in sales skills, processes and approaches
- Ability to manage cross-functional internal and external relationships and handoffs
- Experience using sales support CRM, i.e. Salesforce
- Ability to travel 50%
$85,000 - $95,000 a year

Benefits Statement All regular, full-time, permanent employees who work 30 hours or more each week are eligible to enroll in Indigo's benefits. Additionally, all full-time employees and some part-time employees are eligible for paid time off as outlined above. Based on their role, employees may also be eligible to receive long-term equity incentives and annual cash incentives.
