Description
Through our shared values and culture of professional team service, we engage and inspire the Aggie Network to support Texas Aggies and perpetuate the Aggie Spirit. We seek an individual to join a highly motivated team in selflessly advancing The Association of Former Students' noble mission by contributing to the management and execution of The Association's partner program. The partner program, which connects businesses and organizations with the Aggie Network through The Association's channels and events, includes corporate partners, event sponsors, and paid advertising in Texas Aggie magazine and the AggieNews digital newsletter.
As part of the Marketing and Creative Services team, which is charged with telling the story of The Association's work and how it impacts the Aggie Network, the Manager of Marketing and Business Development will also assist in the development of new initiatives and processes aimed at furthering the message of The Association.

DUTIES Supports the Director of Marketing and all marketing and business development activities of The Association of Former Students: - Fosters a team environment of selflessness, trust, respect, innovation, professionalism and excellence among the team.
- Manages the day-to-day activities of the partner program, including, but not limited to, partner prospecting, proposal building, contract drafting, email distribution, direct mail coordination, artwork review, invoicing and revenue tracking.
- Manages the day-to-day activities of the advertising program for Texas Aggie and AggieNews , including, but not limited to, advertising prospecting, agreement drafting, artwork review, invoicing, revenue tracking and working collaboratively with the Communications department staff who oversee both properties.
- Works with other internal departments to identify and maximize partner, sponsor, and advertiser opportunities.
- Works with staff across multiple departments to ensure delivery on partner and sponsorship elements.
- Implements and manages an obligation tracking system that helps demonstrate partner program success, including measurable analytics for year-end reporting.
- Builds relationships with prospective partners and sponsors to ensure long-term agreements.
- Develops and monitors detailed activation plans.
- Works with the creative team to develop materials for corporate partner and event sponsor discussions and obligations.
- Provides on-site event staff management, including during the week and on weekends, to ensure the fulfillment of partner and sponsorship elements.
- Manages, appraises, coaches, and motivates the Marketing and Advertising Specialist.
- Collaborates with the Director of Marketing to improve standard operating procedures, increase efficiency in processes, and create marketing opportunities designed to improve awareness of The Association's work and impact.
- Assists the Director of Marketing in developing the organization's overall marketing and awareness strategy and provide tactical support in implementing those efforts.
- Works with cross-functional teams, in conjunction with the Director of Marketing, to develop marketing strategies to support programs within The Association (e.g., Fundraising, Development, Former Student Programs, Campus Programs, Aggie Ring Program) in order to increase their engagement with the Aggie Network.
- Assists the Director of Marketing in maintaining budgets for the department.
- Works on special projects as needed and assigned by the Vice President for Communications or the Director of Marketing.
Participates in and provides input on various Association-wide activities: - Actively contributes toward efforts to achieve our culture, engagement, and fundraising goals.
- Provides on-site event support for Board and Leadership Council meetings.
- Participates on internal event teams and task committees.
- Participates in Association events, including but not limited to Aggie Muster, Aggie Ring Day, Reunions, Distinguished Alumni Gala, Pass It Back Day, All-Aggie Grad Party, and All-Aggie Hullabaloo, as needed.
Serves as an ambassador for The Association: - Meets our Team Expectations.
- Supports The Association's marketing, communications, and branding initiatives.
- Fosters relationships with students, former students, parents, faculty, staff, and friends of Texas A&M.
- Attends external events in support of the Vice President of Engagement or on behalf of The Association, as directed.

Requirements
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Required: Sound judgment and utmost discretion. Ability to organize concurrent projects and manage time, while working independently with minimal supervision or collaboratively with teammates, in an environment of rapid change and numerous deadlines. Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills, including proofreading, public speaking and presenting. Ability to work effectively with a variety of unique personalities and individuals. Ability to use standard office equipment and software, including the Microsoft and Google office productivity suites. Ability to stand for extended periods and carry objects up to 50 pounds when needed at events.
Preferred: Extensive familiarity with Texas A&M and its history, traditions, and values.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS Strong commitment to the mission and vision of The Association of Former Students, with the ability and desire to advocate for the organization and Texas A&M University. High energy level and intrinsic motivation. Outgoing personality with a positive and friendly attitude. Professional attire and behavior. Texas driver's license and ability to safely operate a motor vehicle. Occasional travel, including irregular hours, overnight stays, weekends, and evenings, in support of Association events.
EXPERIENCE Required: 5+ years of experience in a wide range of marketing and business development functions, including, but not limited to, partner prospecting, proposal building, contract drafting, budget management, negotiation, project management, stewarding relationships, and ROI & data analysis.
Preferred: Involvement in campus activities as a student at Texas A&M.
EDUCATION Required: Bachelor's degree.
Preferred: Bachelor's degree in marketing or other related discipline from Texas A&M University.
SUPERVISION Received: Director of Marketing.
