As an Account Executive, you'll work with an elite team to promote health care sales and market products through a defined list of agents and brokers. You'll help write the history of UnitedHealthcare and UnitedHealth Group and help heal the health care system.
The toughest part of this job? Working through ambiguity as you build relationship with some of our most focused and intense business leaders. We operate a complex, matrixed business and you'll need to earn credibility within a demanding business environment. You'll be expected to use your solid knowledge of competitive products and solid convictions to help small businesses.
Primary Responsibilities: - Identify potential health care business customers
- Develop business relationships with agents and/or brokers to increase sales
- Promote sales of health care and ancillary products to Mid-Market Employers through brokers. This includes educating and keeping brokers up to date on products and pricing, evaluating, and discussing with brokers, developing recommendations on which products to market against competing product

Required Qualification: - Sales insurance license must be maintained as required by state law
- 2+ years of experience in sales in the insurance industry, selling HMO, POS, PPO, and ancillary products
- Develops business relationships with customers and brokers/consultants within the Market
- Commutable to Columbia, MD
Preferred Qualifications: - Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Demonstrate solid underwriting, financial and analytical skills
- Proven solid organization and planning skills necessary to balancing multiple priorities, objectives, and customer obligations
