A DAY IN THE LIFE OF THE BENEFITS ACCOUNT MANAGERAs our Benefits Account Manager, you essential to our company, ensuring that our clients, coworkers, and community are well-connected and supported. You play a vital role in establishing and nurturing positive relationships with clients to meet their needs for benefits and insurance. During open enrollment, you take the lead in preparing and conducting open enrollment and renewal meetings, both in-person and virtually, to enhance understanding and awareness of their benefit offerings.
Your attention to detail is impeccable as you guide our clients through every stage of the enrollment process, from initial sign-up to policy cancellations. You meticulously review all documents to ensure complete and accurate completion.
As an organizational expert, you compile and maintain up-to-date records and important documents for all our clients. Your strong communication skills are essential as you regularly liaise with management and the benefits team, keeping everyone informed of new developments.
In addition to your client-facing responsibilities, you have a significant role in managing and overseeing our Benefits Customer Service Representatives (CSR) staff. You provide guidance, training, and support to ensure they are well-equipped to assist clients effectively. Your leadership extends to overseeing carrier and client relationships, ensuring smooth and productive interactions.
Working closely with management, you play a key role in overseeing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and training initiatives for the benefits staff. Your input is crucial in developing and refining processes that enhance our service delivery and client satisfaction.
You find fulfillment in helping clients navigate their benefits and contributing to our company's mission of assisting people in achieving their insurance and benefits goals.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR OUR BENEFITS ACCOUNT MANAGER- Current California health and life insurance license
- 5+ years of relevant industry experience managing benefits accounts
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and CRM systems
- Experience in a supervisory role, with a proven ability to build and maintain professional relationships
- Quick-thinking problem solver with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively
- Extremely detail-oriented
