- Develop business and maximize sales of services in assigned area by actively hunting new key accounts, developing current key accounts, following currently valid activity plan in line with company standards and policies.
- Promote sale of service products for new and existing customers, from prospecting through to the close of the sale, in an assigned area or a defined set of accounts.
- Develop and implement an agreed upon area plan which will meet the business goals of increasing service sales to the customer base and improving customer satisfaction.
- Build strong customer relationships and the delivery of customer-centric solutions. Develop rapport with customers through effective communication, interpersonal skills, and professionalism.
- Display the ability to absorb a higher level of learning including software, industrial networks, remote monitoring, and customer audits.
- Consultative Sales - 'Teaches' vs 'Sells'; recommends and co-develops solutions with Key Account Manager to deliver customer value.
- Perform routine, preventative maintenance and repairs on all Chicago Pneumatic and Desoutter brands of DC electric tools, air tools, quality tools, and ancillary equipment. Preventative maintenance should be conducted in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations (with regards to schedule and scope).
- Troubleshoot and perform diagnostics on malfunctioning equipment, determine possible causes for malfunctions, and perform repairs as suggested by diagnostics and assessment.
- Prior to and following preventative maintenance and repairs, test and document the proper operating parameters of the equipment.
- Document all work performed daily using company provided hardware and software.
- Must participate in a rotating on-call schedule and be able to work overtime or outside normal business hours on short notice.
- Serve as an ambassador for the company. Learn and share knowledge, experiences, and training with teammates to increase one's own knowledge and knowledge of others.
- Take whatever action is appropriate and required to get the job done in an ethical and professional manner while maintaining communication with all people/employees along the way.
- Perform all duties in accordance with Company standards, while always striving to understand the needs and expectations of the customer.
To succeed, you will need Qualifications- Computer proficiency is required for communication, research, work orders, and programming of various controllers.
- Robotics and an understanding of proactive services are a plus
- Mechanical and Electrical Skills with expertise in the maintenance, overhaul, and repair of a wide variety of industrial equipment, including electrical, hydraulics, and/or pneumatics.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis and work in industrial environments including extremes in temperature with continuous walking, reaching, bending, and kneeling.
Experience- 3-4 years of technical experience maintaining and repairing various types of mechanical and electrical equipment
- Troubleshooting and repairing DC electric tools
Education- High School Diploma and/or equivalent with technical training in electrical, hydraulics, and/or pneumatics
Travel- Extensive travel to customer locations, including out-of-town and overnight travel (may include Mexico, Canada, or other international travel). Available for a rotating schedule of on-call work on evenings, weekends, and holidays.
