Role overviewThe goal is to win new business accounts, building trust and confidence by demonstrating your expertise about Coloro and the benefits we bring. You will stay close to your client through onboarding and nurture this relationship to ensure a smooth transition over to Coloro. For true collaboration, you will often interface with many client departments including creative/design teams, technical colour, sourcing, and execution teams. Even though you will be responsible for sales, you have the full backing of the entire team to help you - including access to creative experts, technical experts and senior management to help you win over your prospects.
How do you win new business? You will generate new business leads through a variety of channels:
Warm outreach - You will be given a list of target accounts to work on (warm leads) and you will need to complete research on this priority list. This is referred to as prospecting - using all online platforms/resources such as LinkedIn, company websites, podcasts, newsletters etc. to redefine the goals and targets from your priority list and complete an account map. The next steps involve you using your great communication skills. You will prepare questions in advance that will allow you to hold great, well-structured conversations with your prospect and build trust. You will confirm your outreach (via phone or email). It can take time for businesses to consider new ways of working so you will be taking a strategic approach to help key stakeholders get excited and onboard. You are responsible for these accounts, growing them to transition fully to Coloro.
Cold outreach - You will source and research your own accounts to ensure enough activity to hit your business goals.
Inbound leads - Inbound leads may also be assigned to you for follow up.
More information about the role Colour is a critical part of all design businesses; you must understand the importance of colour and the potential value it brings to a brand. It's complex to switch from one colour provider to another. However, we have a great fan base, and we are building a reputation for being the best in the industry. Once they start transitioning, Coloro clients generally love the quality of our products and our high level of service.
Coloro targets key fashion brands in: active, outdoor, swimwear, lingerie, footwear, men's, women's and kids categories - but also has applications across all materials and all industries. From metal water bottles to beauty, interiors, auto and consumer electronics - you will work across industries, focusing on becoming the right partner at the right time. Key accountabilities- Develop and grow a renewable client portfolio by identifying opportunities and building account maps for selling Coloro products into new relevant companies and expanding the partnership over time.
- Set up initial and follow-up meetings with prospective customers to introduce them to Coloro and answer any questions.
- Prepare and present targeted sales presentations to prospective customers on the value proposition of switching to Coloro - these meetings can be in person or virtual, for small or large groups.
- Build and manage your sales pipeline to ensure enough opportunities for hitting business goals.
- Be prepared to give weekly updates on activity and account progress.
- Using your relationship skills and knowledge of Coloro and our technical support, ensure that Coloro's customers experience a smooth onboarding process and are able to fully benefit from the elements of the Coloro system.
- Explore ways to embed Coloro products into client workflows to drive upsell.
- Facilitate regularly scheduled internal/external client meetings and account reviews and effectively communicate new features and benefits of Coloro to clients via phone, video conferencing and in person contact.
- Gather and effectively communicate client feedback and suggestions.
- Conduct ongoing market research and analysis on the dynamics of key accounts and markets which may affect your clients and prospects.

- Proven success in meeting sales targets.
- Ability to translate customer challenges/needs into commercial opportunities for account development.
- Ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder sales processes over time while still being able to regularly close business.
- Solid customer relationship experience.
- Detail oriented and organised; a fast learner.
- A self-motivator, able to work independently and with a team.
- Good IT skills (G Suite), knowledge of CRM systems (Salesforce is a benefit) and social media.
- Able to undertake travel when necessary - predominantly in the US but overseas travel to meet with regional offices of key clients may be required.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with high level of proficiency working across teams to architect solutions to problems even when the offerings to address those problems do not currently exist.
