We are currently working to fill several *Systems Engineer *positions in the Capital Region. We have junior and senior level positions available, all candidates are welcome to apply.
Responsibilities of the *Systems Engineer:*
* Install, manage, and maintain server hardware, software, and enterprise networking environment
* Design and implement new IT Systems solutions using commercially available hardware and software
* Execute hardware and software deployment projects
* Maintain accurate hardware/software audit and inventory
* Adhere to standard operating procedures and best practices
* Create step by step user guides and/or instructions as needed
* Perform other tasks as requested
Qualifications of a *Systems Engineer:*
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related field
* Experience in systems administration or related experience
* Professional certifications preferred (ex- Microsoft, VMWare, NetApp, Citrix)
* Experience with databases, networks, and patch management
* Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery
* Ability to create scripts in Python or other languages
* Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms
* Knowledge of network technologies and computer operating systems
* Ability to multitask, prioritize and meet deadlines
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
