Job Description Qualifications:
The Space, Intelligence, and Weapons System Organization is seeking a Product Security Engineering (PSE) Senior Manager to lead cybersecurity engineering on programs across multiple sites potentially including Colorado, California, Florida, and Virginia from seabed to outer space. This critical position will leverage, and benefit from, experience in program management, planning, organization, execution, proposals, multi-disciplinary engineering & analysis, and talent management. Understanding the fundamentals of cybersecurity is valuable, but more important is the application of those fundamentals to products such as satellites, ground systems, submarines, and complex systems of systems to produce safe, secure, and resilient products while sitting in Colorado Springs, CO or Aurora, CO.
You will be leading a team of Product Security Engineers and Leaders who are working across Boeing, to jointly develop best practices, techniques and tools, and a diverse technical community to draw upon to deliver best value to our customers. In this role, you will be responsible for a diverse engineering team and ensuring that our engineers, analysts, and first-line managers are ready and able to deliver secure and resilient products and services to our customers. You will be charged with the planning, execution, and delivery of product security features, capabilities, and products.
The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated history of performance in systems, product security and/or software engineering and leadership, and operating throughout the course of the engineering and operations lifecycles. Successful candidates are highly motivated and exhibit strong written and verbal communication, inter-personal, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently and effectively with external customers and subcontractors in a multi-site and cross-functional program and environment. Candidates are expected to be strong advocates for product cybersecurity policies and processes as implemented on Boeing programs, and when needed, educate program leadership on the importance and requirements of product security.
Position Responsibilities:
- Engineering Quality:
- Responsible for engineering quality, technical rigor, and the safe, secure, effective, and efficient execution of Product Security activities.
- Define standards, expectations, and processes within a multidisciplinary engineering team to consistently produce solutions that meet schedule, cost, and performance requirements.
- Project Management:
- Understand various statements of work to prepare, schedule, coordinate, assign, and monitor engineering tasks.
- Plan, identify, and coordinate resources required to accomplish engineering tasks over the life of a program.
- Compare actual results to baseline plans to assess team performance, efficiencies, productivity, and lessons learned.
- Identify corrective actions to improve project or team performance.
- Leverage Risk, Issue, and Opportunity Management process.
- Support hiring and developing top talent for current and anticipated programs and product lines.
- Customer and Business Engagement:
- Provide business and integration leadership for the development, coordination and execution of large project and team plans.
- Develop, maintain, and coordinate relationships with Product Security Engineering, program leadership, functional leadership, and other internal/external stakeholders.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed locations.
Work Authorization:
This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor degree or higher in engineering, engineering technology, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry; or an equivalent combination of technical education and 10+ years of relevant work experience.
- 2+ years of experience managing engineering projects.
- Experience factoring and applying confidentiality, integrity, and availability considerations in all phases of the system development lifecycle.
- Familiarity with Risk, Issue, Opportunity (RIO) Management.
- Experience in Agile project management.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Current Security+ (Sec+) certification or other current DoD 8570/8140 Approved Baseline Certification OR willing and have the ability to obtain a CompTIA Security+ Pre-Start (i.e. successful completion of a DoD 8140 IAT Level II Certification)
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Master’s Degree or higher from a course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
- 2+ years of experience managing managers.
- 4+ years of experience applying systems engineering principles during the development of complex hardware/software solutions on an aerospace platform.
- 3+ years of experience leading multiple parallel development schedules; managing complex integrated schedules or projects.
- Experience working proposals and program start up activities.
- 2+ years of experience in Earned Value Management.
- 3+ years of experience with IOT or embedded product and cybersecurity systems analysis, design, development, and testing.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: 174,250 – 251,850
