About the Team:
The Cloud & Data Platform team is responsible for creating and maintaining a Walmart Data platform(Data Management System) that is specifically designed to meet the unique needs and scale of Walmart. This platform enables teams throughout the organization to access and analyse data efficiently and in a user-friendly manner. As a Staff Product Manager, you will play a critical role in driving the success of this platform and ensuring its continuous improvement.
What You'll do:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers, data stewards and data scientists, to define product requirements and create a roadmap for the Global Data Portal.
- Conduct market research and gather user feedback to identify opportunities for product enhancement and optimization.
- Define and prioritize features, ensuring they align with business goals and meet user needs.
- Work closely with engineering teams to oversee the product development lifecycle, from idea generation to launch, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality output.
- Monitor product performance and usage metrics, using data-driven insights to inform product strategy and decision-making.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and end-users to gather requirements and feedback, and communicate updates and progress to internal and external stakeholders.
What you'll bring:
- Proficiency in React, Typescript, Next.js, HTML5, CSS3, and Next.js, applications.
- Hands-on experience with Node.js building scalable backend services and APIs
- Consistent focus on quality through observability, error handling, performance monitoring, unit testing, and end-to-end testing.
- Critical thinking skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
- Prior involvement in developing secure web applications and familiarity with application vulnerabilities.
- Experience using GraphQL including a strong understanding and usage of GraphQL queries, mutations, and subscriptions.
- Familiarity with database systems and ORM libraries (e.g., PostgreSQL, DynamoDB) for backend data management.
- Experience with building serverless AWS application infrastructure (e.g. Lambda, Amplify, DynamoDB)
- Familiarity with CI/CD best practices (e.g. pre-commit hooks, GitHub actions, CDK)
