Job Description Qualifications:
Boeing Poland Engineering and Technology Center is currently seeking a Boeing Global Services Senior Engineering Manager to join our team located in Warsaw, Poland.
Responsibilities:
- Manages a geographically disbursed team of engineering managers, design and structural analysis engineers supporting Boeing Global Services.
- Directs all project phases and acts as primary customer contact for project activities for engineering hardware development projects.
- Leads safety, productivity and quality-related matters pertaining to program execution, performance, and improvements.
- Enable strong Investigations and Root Cause Corrective Action
- Effectively communicate project expectations to team members, team first line leaders and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
- Manages employees and first line leaders performing activities within multiple (2 or more) Engineering disciplines.
- Implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.
- Acquires resources for projects and processes, coordinates the strategic and operational aspects of ongoing projects.
- Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
- Identifies and manages actively opportunities, risks and issues to ensure effective resolution or mitigation, and co-ordinate required activities to ensure successful delivery.
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
- Plan, schedule and manage project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
- Drive organizational productivity improvements through the use of the Lean principles
- Manages, develops and motivates employees for expertise in product line statements of work.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Technical or Aerospace field is a must.
- 7+ years of related Engineering experience together with people management experience.
- Fluent English is a must.
- Fluent Polish is a must.
- Fluent Ukrainian is desirable.
- Experience of managing complex projects/programs.
- Experience of Commercial Aerospace and Defense related projects is highly desirable.
- Experience with Certification projects is highly desirable.
- Project Liaison experience is highly desirable.
- Experience working with Regulatory Agencies (FAA or EASA) (preferred).
- Extensive Project Management experience, ideally holding a recognized Project Management Certificate.
- Highly competent in using MS Project & the MS Office products in general.
- Competent in using Engineering Systems common across aerospace.
- Competent across engineering disciplines.
- Experience using tracking and reporting tool.
- Experience implementing lean or six-sigma principles on a team
- Proven track record of successful delivery of complexity and risk in projects across a variety of areas.
- The individual must be enthusiastic, hands on in their approach and possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
- They must be comfortable interacting with colleagues at all levels within the organization.
- Customer Focus: Develop and maintain customer relations inside the organization. Actively seeks information to understand customer’s circumstances, problems, expectations and needs.
- Builds Positive Relationships: Builds effective working with relationships with team and cross functional groups that are required to contribute to the success of the program.
- Understand differing requirements and perspectives and lead the team through to successful conclusions.
- Business Acumen: Manages complex customer and stakeholder relationships. Deals effectively across all levels.
- Able to adapt approach to meet needs of different groups.
