Praytell is seeking a Senior Vice President, Strategy to partner with our Head of Strategy to drive the next evolution of the agency’s strategy and planning offering. We work with some incredible brands that we’re lucky enough to call client partners across various practice groups from Clairol to DICK’S Sporting Goods, Gallo, Medtronic, Sonos and more, and we’re looking for a strategy leader to support our agency’s creative work and develop our wonderful team of strategists. Please note that candidates will be selected for interviews the first week of January.
As Senior Vice President, Strategy, you will be:
- Leading the growth of Praytell’s Strategy services to deliver award-winning, competitive integrated campaigns
- Managing all aspects of the department such as talent development, processes and deadlines
- Sharing real-time guidance on industry trends keeping agency leaders informed of market shifts
- Working closely with other department and practice group leaders to drive agency growth, efficiency and profitability
- Overseeing delivery of highly strategic and impactful plans, insights and brand campaigns to C-level clients
- Partnering with the New Business team to drive strategy, research, creative brief, insights and narrative development for new business pitches, as well as supporting in presentation deliverables
- Serve as a mentor and teacher to inspire and develop talent, as well as leading recruiting and cultural programs for the Strategy department
- Participating in Praytell’s Executive Leadership Team and Project Worldwide inter-agency Strategy Council to drive business growth
Experience you have:
You have at least 12 years of experience in brand strategy and planning within an agency setting, demonstrating expertise in at least two or more of the following industries: alcohol, lifestyle, beauty, sports or tech. Agency experience is a requirement for this position; public relations/communications agency experience is preferred.
You have the ability to combine strategy skills and frameworks with brand communications and public relations fluency.
You have a track record of successful new business leadership and campaign strategy leadership of award-winning work.
You are exceptional at delivering compelling presentations, captivating potential clients to secure partnerships and opportunities.
You've been a people manager for at least 5 years, and you're comfortable developing internal processes and effectively managing resources to drive team efficiency and performance.
You embody a people-first leadership style, characterized by a genuine enthusiasm for mentoring, coaching, and nurturing employee growth.
You have extensive experience with martech tools and stack development.

Salary Range: $225,000 - $250,000
