General Summary:
Pre-Silicon Performance Analysis, Benchmark projections, Power Performance Tradeoff and SW Optimizations for Qualcomm Platforms
Skills/experience:
1.Strong understanding of basic computer architecture and CPU Microarchitecture
2.Excellent in logical programming using C/C++/Assembly/Scripting
3.Indepth Understanding of software stack - Windows/Linux Internals/device drivers
4.Benchmarking and Performance Analysis of ARM CPUs
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 6+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 5+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
• 3+ years of work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
Responsibilities:
1. Early Performance exploration of ARM CPUs, evaluate ARM microarchitectural improvements, performance power trade-offs and drive design of next generation Qualcomm IPs/Products.
2. Analyze bottlenecks/limitations in existing CPU subsystem - Suggest improvements to Hardware and Software design .
3. Analyze new CPU Architecture features introduced in ARM ecosystem and explore they can benefit our products.
4. Collaborate with external benchmark consortiums like Geekbench, Antutu, etc and drive benchmark/workload selection/optimization that showcases Qualcomm IP strengths.
5. Software optimization based on CPU Microarchitectural improvements.
