Job Description
Ideal candidate for this position shall be an expert in the validation of NVME/SATA based Solid State Drives (SSD) involving extensive debug of customer issues along side cross-functional and cross-geographic teams. Candidate should have strong people leadership & management experience directly leading a team of experience engineers. Candidate should have “Customer First & Quality First” mindset in his/her approach to validation delivering high quality product to customers. He/She will work with customer facing teams to debug and root cause customer issues with shortest possible turn-around time and documenting/presenting debug findings in review forums within WD and at customer.
Requires Skill Sets(Technical):
- Extensive hands-on experiencr in PCIE/NVMe protocol testing and debug, including knowledge of relevant debug tools (protocol analyzers, scopes, logic analyzers)
- Expert level experience in troubleshooting and analyze complex problems
- Experience on rigorous OEM/ODM qualification for embedded memory and SSDs
- Experience working with Flash memory technologies
- Experience working with customers
- Expertise in PC chipset and motherboard validation
- Experience in tools like Crystal Diskmark, IOMeter, PCmark, Sysmark or similar benchmarking tools
- Knowledge of programming in high level languages (e.g. C, C++, Python) is a plus.
- Experience in Windows debugging, Crash dump analysis & Event logs analysis
- Experience in windows storage driver validation
- Knowledge in UEFI & Boot process
- Knowledge of system architecture is a plus.

Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelors/Masters Degree in Engineering/Science
- 10+ years of relevant industry experience
- 5+ years of people management experience
