Job Description
As part of Firmware verification engineer, it is required to understand NVMe SSD’s system design and firmware algorithms in order to create a firmware design verification plans and implement them in modern object oriented languages. Additional points :
- Review NVMe/PCIe SSD validation requirements to define and design functional tests
- Work closely with the system architects and have firmware understanding to develop firmware design verification plans, test bench and test cases
- Integrate the developed tests to validate firmware.
- Conduct failure analysis of regression tests and drive root cause analysis
- Understand field bugs and enhance the validation coverage
- Interface with all key stakeholders to ensure product validation meets customer expectations and needs
Qualifications
Technical and analytical skills required
- Bachelors/Masters on Computers/Electrical/electronic engineering.
- Strong programming knowledge & debugging skills in Python, C and C++.
- Understanding of firmware algorithms used in any NAND Flash based storage devices (SSD, eMMC, SD, USB Flash drives) is added advantage.
- Knowledge in any Host protocols like as SCSI, SATA, eMMC, UFS, PCIe, NVMe is an added advantage
- Familiar with firmware development, Integration and validation.
- Able to methodically root cause complex failure mechanism
- Good written and spoken English skills, be a Team player
