We are now looking for a Software Engineer, Generative AI Research! Foundation models are revolutionizing the production of digital content across a wide range of commercial applications, from digital advertising to the creation of visual art. At NVIDIA Picasso, we're at the forefront of this transformation, providing a foundry for NVIDIA’s partners to develop pioneering generative foundation model products in the visual domain. Our focus is on creating innovative text2image, text2video, and text23d models to seize emerging business opportunities.
To bolster our efforts and better support our partners, the NVIDIA Picasso research team is on the lookout for experienced engineers. In this vital role, you will enhance the efficiency of our research operations. Your contribution will be pivotal in optimizing large-scale training and data pipelines, as well as in establishing robust software engineering practices that propel our projects to new heights of innovation and success.
What You'll Be Doing:
Improving frameworks for large-scale training and data processing.
Developing, deploying and monitoring large scale AI data pipelines.
Establishing and maintaining robust continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
Working in close collaboration with AI researchers to tailor solutions that boost research productivity.
Enabling and advocating for software engineering best practices within the team, ensuring code quality, maintainability, and scalability.
What We Need to See:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
At least 3 years of relevant software engineering experience, preferably in an AI research or data-intensive environment.
Strong programming skills in Python and familiarity with PyTorch.
Proven experience in developing and scaling complex software systems.
Solid understanding and application of software engineering methodologies and practices.
Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
Experience implementing computer vision algorithms using deep neural networks, such as object detection, scene parsing, image segmentation, and image captioning
.
Ways to Stand Out from the crowd:
Experience in developing or using deep learning frameworks.
Experience with large scale AI data processing and/or training.
Knowledge of CUDA and cloud computing platforms.
A track record of working in cross-functional teams, particularly in bridging the gap between research and engineering. Prior experience in an AI or Machine Learning research environment a huge plus.

The base salary range is 116,000 USD - 224,250 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
