Nielsen’s audience measurement team is looking for a highly skilled backend developer with a strong passion for data and cutting-edge technologies.
The candidate will collaborate with Product, Data Science & operations teams to ensure that the software is built per specifications and with the highest quality. The candidate must be a self starter with a desire to understand our unique business and the associated technical challenges. This requires a self-managed strong technical candidate that can take special projects from inception to completion.

Requirements
- Technical skills
- A degree in computer science or equivalent
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in server-side development working on several complex projects
- Working knowledge of AWS Cloud Servers and related services.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Spark, Scala, Java, Python and SQL.
- Good knowledge of RDBMS, database designing, and query optimization techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good English (verbal AND written)
- Willing to provide support as needed on weekends and evenings.
