We are currently seeking a Vehicle Configuration Management Engineer expected to be working in conjunction with multiple systems, sub-systems, components to ensure consistent design and implementation/execution of Vehicle Configuration. You will own relevant process, requirement roadmap, test data reviews, be a software stakeholder in configuration complexity discussions.
The Role:
- Specify and implement robust mechanisms to manage Vehicle Configurations and onboard data
- Interface between Engineering, Marketing, External stakeholders to understand, implement, and maintain Lucid’s Vehicle Configuration requirements
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to implement secure data access and storage related to configuration information
- Draft, review, and maintain requirements/specifications and test cases
- Work closely with Systems Engineers, Software Developers and Test Engineers to ensure configurable vehicle diagnostics are implemented and tested as per Lucid’s standards
- Drive innovative solutions to problems
- Ensure complete coverage between software/hardware implementation, requirements, and test cases
- Identify gaps in systems processes and implement solutions
- Implement changes in diagnostic functionality informed by FMEA
- Report status updates on a regular basis
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science, in the areas of Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing/Industrial, Automotive, Computer Science, or other related fields
- 5+ years of Automotive experience
- Must have demonstrated experience in Vehicle Configuration Management.
- Experienced with Process Definition, Continuous Improvement.
- Experienced with Change Management
- Experienced with FMEA, ASPICE, SCRUM/AGILE
- Familiarity with Automotive Systems Design, Electric Vehicle architecture, Network architecture, backend vehicle data handling.
- Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills and ability to analyze complex problems and propose solutions
Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.
·California (Bay Area) - $127,000 - $181,500
Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs. (Cash or equity incentive awards, if any, will depend on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and company performance.)
