Our Team
Common Systems Software is part of Silicon Products Group (SPG) and is responsible for Design, Development, Test and Support of Supervisory Control System Software that is used to control the Wafer Fabrication Equipment (WFE) made by Applied Materials.
Roles and Responsibility
- End to End Software Test ownership for Product releases
- Design, develop, debug & execute Complex Test Scenarios
- Develop deep product knowledge and domain knowledge
- Collaborate with Software Development and Product Support teams for planning and execution
- Drive process/productivity improvements
- Guide and mentor the team
- Effectively work in a multi-site environment, with globally distributed teams
- Drive Test Automation Framework Improvement
- Document, enhance and maintain regression test procedures over the lifecycle of the software.
- Clear clarity of project handled and communication
- End Customer interfacing and drive closure of key customer engagements
- Independently take decisions and drive closure of high value problems
Qualifications
Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science/Information Science/Electronics/Electrical/Instrumentation (or equivalent technical Degree ) preferably with experience in Industrial automation
Experience
- Minimum 6 years of work experience in software quality assurance part of which should be in a lead role
- Should have prior experience in software test automation
- Prior experience in supervisory control systems software would be a plus (but not mandatory)
- Customer interfacing, managing customer escalations, direct interaction with end user is a plus
- Hands on experience on troubleshooting , recreating issues based on customer scenarios
Skills
- Strong knowledge of software test methodologies, tools, standards and processes.
- Good hands on programing experience in any of the scripting/programming languages
- Hands-on experience with test design & automation
- Hands-on experience in deploying/enhancing Test Frameworks
- Strong interpersonal skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to debug/troubleshoot product/framework level issues
- Proven track record of assessing and implementing process/productivity improvements
