Our data engineering group in Israel is an instrumental part of our IT organization in Israel and is integrated into Applied Materials global data team.
Our mission is closely linked to the business objectives while we are working shoulder to shoulder and delivering complex data solutions that bring real business insights.
What you'll be doing:
- Develop data objects using PySpark based on business requirements.
- Participate in global team objectives to enhance the organization's data platform.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and address data-related needs.
- Implement and optimize ETL processes for efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading.
- Contribute to the design and development of scalable and reliable data pipelines.
- Ensure data quality and integrity by implementing robust validation and cleansing processes.
- Work on multiple projects concurrently, managing priorities and deadlines effectively.
- guide and mentor junior team members.
- lead projects and initiatives, and drive them to completion.
What you should have?
- High proficiency in SQL for data manipulation and querying.
- Advanced knowledge in Python for data engineering tasks.
- Solid understanding of data modeling and database concepts.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative global team environment.
- Fast learner, quickly grasping new concepts and technologies.
- Experience with Databricks for big data processing and analytics- advantage.
- Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (e.g. Azure)- advantage.
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and technologies- advantage.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g. Git) - advantage.
- Understanding of data quality principles and practices- advantage.
- experience with dbt- advantage.
