Lead Software Engineer
Access Technologies is looking for a passionate Lead Software Engineerto work as part of a highly engaged small team within a global organization of 12,000+ employees, representing 30+ brands (including Schlage, Von Duprin, LCN and Stanley) focused on safety, security and access management. You’ll work on solutions that will enable seamless access and help keep you and your loved ones safe and secure where they work, live and thrive.
What you’ll do:
- Architect and build solutions using AWS, Spring boot, Java, cloud microservices, REST/APIs, SQL (Postgres), NoSQL (Cassandra), JSON, xml, Docker/Containerization, Terraform, Angular, Django, Java for Android, Flutter. Python and more
- Architect and build automated testing solutions using Selenium, Appium and Postman API Test Automation
- Architect, develop and implement CI/CD tools/pipelines
- Partner with team members to increase software skills, system understanding, and design thinking to create high performing teams
- Lead a dev team and break up the work in ways that everyone on the team can be productive and work efficiently
- Perform code reviews and level up the code delivered by the team via mentoring and coaching team members
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and product managers to gather requirements and create comprehensive project plans and schedules
- Analyze business requirements and define software requirements / stories
- Determine the cost of new and modified systems and engage in the proposal and business case process
- Manage user support and feedback
What we’re looking for:
- An experienced team lead and builder that is passionate about developing solutions as well as mentoring and coaching other team members
- Experience working in Agile Scrum teams with demonstrated success leading improvements (getting better/faster/happier)
- Experienced with version/source control best practices as applied to git
- Passionate about quality, scalable, well-built, and easy-to-use applications
- Comfortable with full stack development
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in years of relevant work experience
- 5+ years of software development experience
