Position: Software Engineering Manager
Responsibilities: Direct IOS Engineers, Android Engineers, and Backend Engineers through a series of projects while working with directors to align on various goals, including supervising the design and improvement of our technological stack and exercising ownership of the overall product strategy, implementation, and design, as well as building and scaling core protocol architecture that is reliable, flexible, and performant. Lead technical aspects of project strategy by leveraging experience in building front end-heavy web applications, conducting user research, creating design systems, validating prototypes, and scaling backend infrastructure. Collaborate cross-functionally with the product and technical teams to bridge the gap between competing priorities and drivers and identify product direction, research, and development needs. Create roadmaps and timelines for the development and deployment of all technological services, as well as lead the development of interfaces for our platform that is appealing to subscribers. Develop documents related to system architecture, design steps, integration processes, and testing procedures. Participate in business and system requirements sessions to consult with business stakeholders to understand complex business and compliance requirements as applicable and determine the needs of our diverse and complex user groups. Position will be headquartered in West Hollywood, CA and allows for telecommuting from various unanticipated worksites throughout the United States. Position will supervise seven (7) employees.
Educ./experience: Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, plus two (2) years of post-baccalaureate experience as a Software Development Director, Software Engineer, or related role. Experience must include developing software applications; Spring framework; Atlassian suite; Objected Oriented Design; Agile methodologies; and designing and developing APIs. Salary range: $210,000 to $230,000
