Our Team
Currently we have two senior EHS engineers, one EHS contractor. This position will be the Applied Materials India EHS manager role.
Your Opportunity
Applied Materials India is expansion, and new Lab will be built, forecast more than 10,000 employees. This position not only in charge of Bangalore but the whole Applied Materials India EHS. As senior EHS manager, with the Applied Materials India growth, this position can be a director position.
Roles and Responsibility
Develops implements and monitors company safety programs and policies. Ensures compliance with government health and safety regulations.
Completes required federal, state and local government reports relating to safety.
Monitors environmental compliance and maintains liaison with appropriate regulatory agencies.
Develops and conducts employee EH&S training.
Recommends corrective action where environmental health and safety hazards exist.
Identifies, analyzes and controls occupational hazards and promotes worksite by applying knowledge of industrial processes, mechanics, psychology, physiology, and industrial health and safety laws.
Advises on structural safety requirements based on failure mode analysis of such factors as fatigue, stability, stress, concentration and creep.
Designs protective equipment or safety devices for machines, and redesigns machines and plant equipment to eliminate occupational hazards.
Develops standards which set tolerances, stress ratios, strength of materials and other related engineering requirements.
Reviews proposed occupational safety policies, guidelines and standards to determine their consistency with accepted engineering principles and practices; recommends technical changes as needed.
The work of the EH&S Engineer who is an Industrial Hygienist involves industrial hygiene, life safety, and ergonomic compliance-related activities.
Interacts with others in the administration of the worker’s compensation program and the implementation of workplace ergonomics and program solutions. Monitors industrial health compliance.
Responsible for the management and supervision of the EH&S function and staff. Coach, mentor and supervise EH&S team to implement the EH&S management systems to minimize the risks to employees customers and the environment activities relating to the development, maintenance, application, and/or support of equipment processes
Set up and maintenance of the EH&S systems to drive continuous improvements. Supervises direct reports in their assigned activities with specific responsibility for staffing, technical leadership within the group, staff professional/managerial/ leadership skills and career development.
Maintain communication channel with site/location functions. Manages and oversees the Hazardous Waste Materials Program to include identifying, analyzing and minimizing waste streams.
Ensures proper investigations of accident / incidents conducted for EH&S events and drives corrective actions.
Act as liaison with regulatory authorities for safety requirements
Manage 3rd party EHS tool assessments and drive corrective actions within the various internal organizations.
Track and trend EH&S related legislation and take appropriate action to comply with requirements. Communicates EH&S issues to all necessary management and employees. Generates necessary reports and documentation.
Lead the investigation into accidents and provide feedback to relevant parties for corrective action
Review and report EH&S progress and performance for assigned site/function. Develops, monitors and controls the budget for EH&S operations.
Ensures compliance with required codes, standards and regulations. Act as a liaison with local, regional or federal regulatory authorities.
Manage metrics and reporting.
Oversees accident / incident investigations and analyzes pertinent data. Documents results. Oversees Workers Compensation program.
Our Ideal Candidate
The idea candidate is a Senior EHS manager, has experience of managing people and Labs using toxic chemicals in multinational company.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree (+/-16 years)
>10 working experiences better worked in the semiconductor industry or Labs using toxic chemicals.
Additional Qualifications:
Good English skills
Have working experience in multinational company.
Willing to learn new things.
