Your Impact:
We are building the first truly secure network architecture capable of supporting IoT at scale and sensor-to-sensor autonomous communication.
You will build production test networks that will drive engineering and operational employment of a novel secure mesh technology with deep impacts in public and private sectors. You will build physical racks, automation tooling and assist with testing design for a full integration network. Your impact as an infrastructure engineer will drive success by limiting code refactor time, enhancing engineering efficiency, and improving product performance. Success in this role is defined as ensuring Swoop delivers a quality, tested product that is ready to meet our customers needs.
What You’ll Do:
Design, integrate and maintain a entire suite of test, staging and pre production mesh networks utilized for integrated testing, pre deployment verification and general operations for company demo’s, deployments and customer based engagements
Hands-on work with embedded platforms, ranging from gateway devices, routers/switches, unmanned systems, phones, etc.
Focus on automation of provisioning, instrumentation and currency of these environments in conjunction with DevOPS team to include CI/CD pipeline
Position will be mostly WFH with the requirement to travel into the lab / server facility as required to correct failures, install new equipment and prepare IoT/Edge environment
You Should Have:
Scripting experience in both Bash and Python with ability to integrate automated solutions to deploy code onto a diverse suite of hardware
Ability to incorporate scripted aspects from Bash/Python into IaaS solutions to scale deployment of CI/CD software resources testing / production ready environments
Proficiency in installing OS type binaries on embedded systems
Comprehensive knowledge of FSBL (First Stage Boot Loader) and firmware based installs (Xilinx SOM/SOC are a example of a typical embedded system)
Experience with standing up networking infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls and connectivity between
Familiarity with RF networking in traditional PTT Radio, Cellular, SATCOM and other RF type communication systems
Periods of time will be spent in server rooms/data center with some work requiring moving and lifting of heavy networking equipment
The ability to lift up to 50 pounds is required
Active Government security clearance (TS / SCI preferred)
Bonus if you have:
Proficiency with RF networking engineering experience in traditional RF radio systems, Cellular systems and SATCOM
C / Rust coding experience
