What You’ll Do:
Rack and configure infrastructure hardware such as: servers, firewalls, switches, storage arrays
Monitor infrastructure resources using terminal access, IDRAC, other monitoring tools
Provision infrastructure resources using terminal access and VMware servers
Monitoring security profiles of infrastructure, including general firewall monitoring and using scanning tools such as NESSUS or Qualys
Perform essential software updates during “non business hours”
You Should Have:
Thorough experience with linux kernel and operating systems such as Ubuntu.
Experience racking, configuring, monitoring and provisioning infrastructure hardware.
Experience working within essential infrastructure required for company day to day functions.
Familiarity with modern IT security practices such as infrastructure security scanning and vulnerability mitigation.
Experience working both in the terminal and with user interfaces required for managing IT resources.
Experience with scripting languages commonly used in managing IT resources.
Familiarity with virtualization technologies, creating and managing VMs using industry standard tools such as VMWare and KVM.
Experience managing backup resources and conducting failover events.
Experience using version control and CI/CD software such at Gitlab.
