Together, we develop the GeForce Now client on browsers for a diverse array of devices. What you will be doing:
Drive new browser and WebRTC features with a focus on reliability, cross platform compatibility, performance and security
Optimize performance of GeForce Now clients for target browsers, client platforms to achieve top streaming performance
Build new browser features such as new audio/ video/ image pipelines, media post processing support, newer QoS features in packet loss recovery, jitter handling, optimizations in rendering/ compositing video and input event handling
Propose, advocate and build community support for updates and new features for interactive ultra-low latency applications
Drive design and implementation of internal cross platform testing infrastructure
Improve Chromium tests to increase coverage of APIs and features used by GFN Clients
Define and develop performance indicators, analyze and improve product perf
Review code and design across the team and contribute actively to the evolving team methodologies
What we need to see:
8+ year's experience in Proficient in C++, JavaScript, web technologies
Excellent system software programming, white box testing and debugging skills
Expertise in WebRTC, input handling, video and graphics composition in Chromium repos
Consistent history of change and feature contributions to Chromium repositories in relevant areas, Chromium committer status
Expert level knowledge in usage of browser performance analyzer tools, experience in performance and footprint optimization for different browsers and devices
BS or MS in Computer Science or related areas or equivalent experience
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
Expertise in multiple browser engines
Experience in porting and / or optimizing browsers on multiple platforms such as desktops, mobiles, TVs
Expertise in developing real time, latency-sensitive, interactive video streaming applications on browsers
Background with developing and supporting live consumer product/ service on Windows, macOS, Android, iOS
Familiarity with telemetry and visualization tools, experience in employing data to analyze and improve product features and perf
The base salary range is 176,000 USD - 333,500 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
