This Role:
We're looking for a strong QA Engineer to join our Technology team. You will be part of a group responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining and supporting Data & Analytics Platform applications. The role will leverage modern processes and tools in ensuring highest quality data in the Dun & Bradstreet Data Supply Chains.
Key Requirements:
- Develop Data pipelines/Ingestion/Engineering and Analytic Application processes to business specification and technology standards that leverage/extend existing Data & Analytics platforms using a variety of Tech stack including (but not limited to) AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Informatica, Stream sets and Acceldata.
- Collaborate with project teams (solution architects, business, QA and project management) to ensure solutions meet business objectives and fall within timelines and acceptance criteria
- Participate in testing of prototypes & validate test procedures to ensure that they are applicable to the design
- Application support/ bug fixes / QA
- Perform root-cause analysis (RCA) of complex issues ranging from hardware, operating system, application, network, and information security platforms while working closely with various infrastructure teams and business users to quickly arrive at creative, tactical and long-term solutions.
Key Requirements:
- Responsible for definition of overall Test Plan including definition of End-to-End and acceptance test approach.
- Communication of Test Plan to all project stakeholders and business partners to ensure all testing activities are conducted in line with D&B quality expectations and policies.
- Creation of Dashboards / Metrics to help convey the status of testing and highlight progress of testing to key stakeholders along with coordination of daily defect triage and reporting.
- Management of coordination of Test Environments utilized during test execution and the ongoing assessment of Test Data.
- Ensuring that both environments and test data are fit for purpose, adherence to standards and highlight where improvements are required
- Accountability for management and tracking of project level QA/Test Risks ensuring timely communication of impacts to stakeholders.
- Documents non-compliance to policies, process and standards and assists in their resolution (thus supporting ISO 27001)
- Provides guidance and Subject Matter Expertise to teams on D&B methodologies, policies and processes, educates them on their responsibilities/accountabilities for the purpose of achieving on-time and quality deliverables.
- Provides training on established processes and policies.
- Ability to be a Hands On Tester when required.
- Creation of test cases to support the application under test, ensuring clear traceability between user story, test cases and defects.
