MuleSoft is looking for a motivated Solutions Engineer to join our extremely passionate, talented, and collaborative Pre-Sales team, who are instrumental to MuleSoft’s growth in the region. As a Solution Engineer, you are a trusted advisor to MuleSoft’s prospective and existing customers by proving how MuleSoft can bring their digital investments together into a composable enterprise, allowing for faster delivery and innovation for users to create hyper-automated workflows.
The Automation Specialist Solution Engineer is responsible for presenting our Automation product line and architecture in the best light to prospects and customers based on the relevant business requirements. Our Automation product line (APL) includes MuleSoft RPA, MuleSoft Composer as well as MuleSoft Composer for Salesforce. The successful candidate should bring experience that establishes credibility and confidence from user-buyer through to CXO. The primary goal of our team members is to align our leading platform capabilities with customer requirements to deliver tangible business outcomes for our customers. The key to this is being able to remove all technical objections related to the APL in the sales cycle and to highlight the business value that the APL can bring to any business in combination with Salesforce Customer 360 platform or as a standalone capability/offering for non-Salesforce customers.
To accomplish this, the Solution Engineer must have a strong desire to leverage their technical and/or sales skills, including the ability to solicit business requirements, develop a technical sales strategy, configure, and effectively demonstrate the solutions that address these requirements whilst demonstrating business value. The Solution Engineer will develop and manage programs designed to accelerate the growth of the Automation business by collaborating on cross-functional initiatives with both local and international teams to move the business forward.
Responsibilities Include:
- Become a thought leader and influencer in the emerging space of hyper-automation which covers workflow automation, low code integration and RPA at the worlds leading Integration brand and number 1 CRM brand.
- Contribute to the design of the MuleSoft Composer and RPA product roadmap.
- Work closely with Field Sales teams (Salesforce & MuleSoft) Account Executives, their peers, and product management to deliver the appropriate solution by establishing credibility and trust with the customer.
- Support Account Executives throughout the end-to-end sales cycle to qualify sales opportunities with regards to customer technical requirements, competition, ROI, and total cost of ownership (TCO).
- Become a thought leader in the hyper-automation space
- Develop tailored presentations, demonstrations, and PoCs to illustrate the art of the possible and business value with Composer and RPA
- Business requirements assessment and delivery of findings including key pain points, proposed solutions to meet business needs and ROI and where applicable, the development of a technical sales strategy;
- Partner with both Salesforce and MuleSoft Account Executives on account planning and strategy by supporting marketing with evangelism activities (writing blogs, participating in demo-driven webinars, speaking at industry events, etc.)
- Evangelizing the APL value to customers (including C-Level execs, Salesforce Admins, Business Technologists, and Citizen Integrators) as well as broader field teams;
- Working well in a matrix organization, including AE field sales, SE executives, and implementation partners;
- Execute enablement activities (Webinars, Best Practices, Knowledge Share, etc.)
What you’ll need to be successful:
- Enterprise Cloud Software Pre-Sales experience and the skillset to establish trust with customers that influences key decision-makers in the sales cycle
- Excellent verbal communication, written communication, and presentation skills
- Experience with cloud technologies and other low code integration/automation solutions - iPaaS, SaaS, RPA applications etc. is preferred
- Knowledge of related applications in low code/no-code integration and automation
- Ability to lead solution architecture discussions
- A passion for technology and translating that passion into business impact for customers
- Curiosity and energy – ability to understand the customer’s true pain points
- Ability to multi-task, work timely in a fast-paced collaborative team environment, and be creative to deliver a differentiated architecture and solution
- Hands-on experience with integration platforms, architecture patterns, and API focussed integration solutions is preferred
- Ability to travel as needed and to work flexible hours throughout a regional sales territory
