The Role
As a Data Engineer, you will lead the design and implementation of data solutions to enable our engineering, operations, and business teams to effectively leverage its data, better automate its processes, and monitor and react to issues.
How you'll make an impact:
- Connecting and aggregating various data sources into data warehouses
- From 3rd party services via APIs
- From internal databases via CDC
- From streaming events publications
- Creating pipelines and data stores for specific use cases
- Device health observability
- Business KPIs
- Machine Learning Model Monitoring and EDA
- Operations Analysis
- Revenue / Cost Reporting and Attribution
- Hands-on management of Data Engineering Architecture
We're looking for people who:
- Expertise in Python and SQL
- Experience with
- Data Ingestion (e.g. Debezium, Third Party APIs)
- Data Streaming/Stream Processing (e.g. Kinesis, Kafka, Storm, Flink, Spark a plus)
- Data Storage (e.g. RDBMS (RDS/Postgres), Redshift, Druid, Elastic, HDFS, Hudi, InfluxDB, Cassandra, Neo4j, Redis)
- Data Transformation (e.g. dbt)
- Workflow Orchestration (e.g. Prefect, Airflow, Luigi, Dagster)
- Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform, Cloudformation)
- CI/CD (e.g. Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
- Monitoring (e.g. Grafana, Prometheus)
- Experience is Data Engineering AWS services (Lambda, SQS, SNS, Kinesis Data Firehose is a plus)
- Experience with Docker
- Experience with Git/VCS
- Experience with Java is a plus
- Experience with Sigma/Tableau/Looker is a plus
- Experience with Kubernetes is a plus
- Experience working with Business Intelligence/Data Architecture teams
- Able to take on complex problems, learn quickly, iterate, and persist towards a good solution
- Effectively communicate, at the level of your audience, and seek to understand and be understood

💰Salary & Equity: In this role, you’ll receive a starting salary of $150,000-$165,000 as well as stock options
