Superorder is rapidly growing and looking for an Engineering Team Lead that can help define and execute on the vision of our enterprise product team. Why Superorder?
Engineering is at the heart of everything we do at Superorder. As the Engineering Team Lead for our enterprise products, you’ll be the direct bridge between leadership and our enterprise engineering team. You will lead the architecture, technical execution, and culture of the team that will define the future of Superorder’s enterprise business and restaurants (from 5 to 5000 location chains) across the country. As the technical lead of this team, you will have a wide overview of all of Superorders’ business and play an important role in shaping our technology + product strategy.
You’ll be the linchpin of a fast-moving, extremely focused product team that is focused on building our the modern restaurant operating system, including AI dispute management, review management, enterprise data aggregation, and much more. The engineering stack comprises of primarily a Python backend with React web apps and Kotlin based Android apps. We heavily utilize AWS, Serverless, and Kubernetes-based workflows.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Establish Technical Vision + Strategy:
Work closely with management to help define new verticals from product ideation to productionization/GTM
Help foster innovation within the company and ensure that engineering objectives are in line with business/operations strategy
Deliver Impact and Technical Excellence:
Ship high quality product quickly and focus on defining robust architectures that power the real time operations of our customers
Define team + product metrics to help maintain quick development cycles
Guide Team Growth + Culture:
Drive our culture of empowerment, ownership, and impact throughout the team
Define the hiring strategy for the team to bring on the best engineers that fit our culture
Skills and Experience
5+ years of software engineering experience
Experience working on defining and developing technical products
Crave a fast-paced, high-impact work environment: we expect to move quickly and ship often
Ability to architect and engineer robust solutions amidst ambiguity
Proven track record of increasing the effectiveness of your team members
Preferred Experience
These factors are nice to have but not required to apply for the role
Based in NYC or willing to relocate
Experience building production applications in Python
Experience working in a fast-paced engineering culture, ideally an early stage startup
Experience in the AWS Serverless Stack (Lambda, State Functions, etc)
Experience/familiarity with high-scale, distributed systems
