Role Summary:
The Vice President of Hardware Engineering will be a key leader within our organization, steering the design, development, and deployment of cutting-edge hardware solutions. This role is essential to achieving our mission in the defense sector by ensuring the delivery of reliable, high-performance products.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Team Development:
Assemble, mentor, and manage a high-performing engineering team.
Strategic Planning:
Develop and implement a hardware engineering roadmap.
Design and Architecture:
Oversee all phases of hardware development including concept, design, prototyping, and production.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with Software Engineering, Product Management, and Operations.
Vendor Management:
Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and strategic partners.
Quality Assurance:
Implement rigorous QA processes.
Risk Management:
Anticipate and mitigate potential risks.
Budget Oversight:
Manage the hardware engineering budget.
Intellectual Property:
Oversee hardware-related IP identification and protection.
Stakeholder Communication:
Effectively communicate with both internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 10 years of experience in hardware engineering.
At least 5 years in a leadership role.
Strong understanding of systems engineering, electronics, and mechanical design.
Exceptional problem-solving skills.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering.
Active security clearance or the ability to obtain one is desirable.

Actual salary offers may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and training, critical skills, and business considerations.
