Amazon Web Services is looking for a highly motivated Solutions Architect to help accelerate our growing GovTech business as part of the World Wide Public Sector practice, working closely with software development companies.
As a Solutions Architect within AWS, you will have the opportunity to help shape and deliver on a strategy to build broad use of Amazon's utility computing web services (e.g., AWS EC2, AWS S3, AWS RDS, and AWS CloudFront) directly with customers and our ecosystem of system integrators and solution providers. In your role you will work with a limited number of high-value enterprises, and lead their technology strategy across a broader team of cross functional resources within an enterprise account. You will partner with account managers, owning the technical aspects of an account, and the corresponding executive relationships (e.g. CTO, CIO, Architects, etc.).
As a Solutions Architect on our team, you will provide exceptional technical design and thought leadership to the GovTech market on cloud native applications working with a world class sales and business development team. You will lead efforts to capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the AWS solution architect community. You will gain the opportunity to learn from, collaborate with, and educate some of the brightest technical minds in the industry today across the breadth of enterprise architecture.

Key job responsibilities
Engaging with executive and technical stakeholders within our customers to design AWS-based solutions to business problems.
Owning the technical domain of an account, and the corresponding executive relationships
Understand and be able to explain key aspects of AWS services and how they fit into an overall technical architecture
Guide customers on deploying infrastructure and applications in a secure, resilient, and scalable way
Coach and mentor junior SAs
Ability to travel 30%

About the team
The Systems Integrator Partners SA (SI-PSA) team supports the WWPS SI Partners Sales team.
We support the field sales team, primarily through earning trust with the partner and being their primary contact for technical questions related to AWS services and solutions.
The SA will focus on leveraging the broader AWS ecosystem to optimize our partner’s AWS cloud journey.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $122,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $239,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
