Job Summary
As a Pursuit Business Development Manager in NetApp's U.S. Public Sector, you are responsiblefor building opportunity pipelines for Intelligence Agencies as well as prime systems integration partners.Your overall focus areas will be identifying, qualifying, and progressing opportunities, creating value propositions & proposals for presentations to customers and partners, and helping align customer requirements and business needs to NetApp products & services. This will include working with cross-functional teams from NetApp's Storage, Systems & Software, Cloud Infrastructure, and Cloud Data Services business units. You will utilize your relationship-building, negotiating, and technical skills to be successful in this role.
As a seasoned, experienced professional, with a full understanding of industry practices and company policies and procedures, you will apply experiences and knowledge in solving a wide range of issues in imaginative and practical ways. The essential responsibilities of the role are to produce targeted value propositions aligning customer mission to our products and to the digital transformation domain. Value propositions will be delivered in written and verbal form. Specific areas of responsibility include:
- Determining if the customer has a valid need for NetApp products and services
- Proposingan evaluation testproject to enable the customer to testproducts in their environment while determiningacceptance criteria that a customer could use to determine the success of an evaluation test project
- Working with business development and direct sales teams to produce high-quality written and verbal communication that enables partners and customers to see how NetApp products and services bring value and business outcomes to meet or exceed their requirement
- Respond to RFP's and follow up with customers
- Build and strengthen your business relationship with customers within existing accountsby recommending marketing strategies, providingstatus information to your manager including forecast/pipeline information, and identifying NetApp customer references that can be utilized when reference selling

Job Requirements
- Candidate must live in the United States and be a U.S. Citizen
- TS/SCI Required, Full Scope Preferred
- Past experience working at or with a major, prime systems integrators in public sector domain is strongly preferred
- As a seasoned professional with a wide range of experiences, this individual uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways
- Aptitude for understanding how NetApp capabilities and solutions solve business problems
- Strong verbal and written communications skills, including presentation skills and the ability to extrapolate use case requirements to establish success criteria
- Ability to work collaboratively with employees within the department and across functions
- Ability to convey information clearly and provide analysis as needed to help customers and partners make partnering and teaming decisions
Education
- A minimum of 12 years of individual contributor sales or capture experience is preferred
- Bachelor's Degreeis preferred, or equivalent experience
- Experience that demonstrates a significant level of expertise in technical specifications required to sell NetApp products and services is required
- Successful track record of successful capture with the intelligence community

The base salary hiring wage range for this position which the Company reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position in the specified geographic areas or locations is $310,000 - $379,000 total on target earnings.Final compensation will be dependent on various factors relevant to the position and candidate such as geographical location, candidate qualifications, certifications, relevant job-related work experience, education, skillset, and other relevant business and organizational factors, consistent with applicable law. In addition, the position may include some of the following comprehensive benefits such as Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, 401(K), Paid Time off (PTO), sick time, leave of absence as per the FMLA and other relevant leave laws, Company bonus/commission, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU's).
