GRAIL is seeking a Senior Software Product Manager, Data Platform who will be responsible for managing clinical data products and infrastructure within our central data platform.
In addition to evolving our existing clinical data software for scale and to increase data access, you will lead the data product management team on exciting initiatives, including grail’s existing and upcoming real-world evidence studies, real-world evidence & product safety data generation, and bio-banking. Your role will involve close partnership with data engineering, research, compliance/regulatory, clinical development, and medical affairs as we work toward standardization of data models and pipelines to maximize the impact of grail’s large repository of clinical and genomic data. This role is located in Menlo Park, Ca. with a hybrid work environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage clinical data products and infrastructure within our central data platform to support GRAIL's mission of advancing healthcare through the development of blood-based tests for the early detection of cancer.
- Develop a deep understanding of our current data assets and clinical data system design and architecture.
- Lead development of the roadmap to evolve our clinical data system, and to centralize clinical data within GRAIL’s data lake.
- Become an expert in data-related requirements and user needs spanning the initiatives above, and translate them into requirements and roadmaps for engineering.
- Partner with Clinical Development and Medical Affairs to establish harmonized data models/ data dictionaries that guide the collection, processing, and analysis of healthcare data from disparate sources and geographies.
- Assist in developing seamless, effective, and compliant access to data for internal stakeholders.
- Contribute to strategy documents and presentations for executive leadership.
- Drive quarterly planning and develop product roadmaps for your product area, based on a deep understanding of user needs and business goals.
- Ensure data products are well-documented and accessible to end users.
- Streamline the Software Quality release process for your product area.

DESIRED SKILLS
- Strongly prefer a working knowledge and experience with the modern data tech stack (e.g., Redshift, dbt, Airflow, etc) and SQL.
- Familiarity with software development in a regulated environment.
This role is located in Menlo Park, Ca. with a hybrid work environment.
The estimated, full-time, annual base pay scale for this position is $155,000 - $180,000. Actual base pay will consider skills, experience, and location.
Based on the role, colleagues may be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan tied to company and individual performance, or an incentive plan. We also offer a long-term incentive plan to align company and colleague success over time.
