The Digital Technology & Information Service (DTIS) is a customer-centred organisation creating and sustaining business value through simple, fast, and innovative engineering and technology solutions that help make PlayStation the best place to work and the best place to publish games and digital content. We have twenty-seven engineering teams distributed across our London, Liverpool, San Mateo, and Los Angeles engineering centres, who are building and supporting the platforms that game developers are using to build and market their next generation of games .
Role overview:

You'll be part of the global DTIS - Commerce team working on building applications and services that support PlayStation partners in bringing game concepts from idea to life both physically and digitally on the PlayStation Network.
You'll be able to work within a highly skilled team of engineers working as part of an agile delivery team, alongside a number of regional and global teams spread across London, Liverpool and Los Angeles, and will be responsible for technical implementation of the applications or systems your team will be delivering.
What you’ll be doing:
- You will collaborate with other technical teams towards sharing best practices and ensuring consistency in technology, approach and tool adoption as well as the creation of common components where applicable.
- You will work closely together with other software engineers to deliver software applications; constantly looking for ways to improve the quality of the solution through static code analysis, unit, system, and regression test automations.
- You will interface with product owners, product managers, and technical leads to engineer and deliver solutions.
- You will engage with remote teams across Europe, the USA, and Japan and may travel, on occasion, to attend meetings and workshops across locations.
What we’re looking for:
- Highly proficient in React.js or React Native, object oriented asynchronous JavaScript, TypeScript and related libraries
- Proficient with at least one widely adopted single page application (SPA) architecture
- Highly proficient in HTML5 / CSS3
- Experience creating and maintaining restful APIs using Java and Spring Boot with a familiarity of microservice architecture
- Good working knowledge of database design and implementation (MySQL, PostgreSQL)
- Writing unit, integration and automation tests (eg: Jest, Webdriver.io, Junit, Mockito)
- Good knowledge and working experience of AWS Web Services (S3, Elastic Beanstalk, Lambda, SQS, SNS etc)
- Passionate about writing clean, readable and maintainable code
