About the role: We are seeking an Accounting Manager at our Loudon, TN location. The Accounting Manager will ensure that all accounting functions (GL, AP, AR, PR, and Reporting) are completed efficiently, accurately, and on time. This position will assist the Controller with cost studies, budget preparation, and special projects.

Position Summary:
The Accounting Manager will ensure that all accounting functions (GL, AP, AR, PR, and Reporting) are completed efficiently, accurately, and on time. This position will assist the Controller with cost studies, budget preparation, and special projects. Manage and supervise the Accounting staff, ensuring that all staff members are properly trained and cross-trained to accurately process financial transactions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Manage all Accounting functions including various projects to strengthen internal control over financial reporting; reconcile balance sheet accounts and analyze account fluctuations for unusual transactions.
· Assist Controller in preparing month-end financial close and producing related reports; interact with all departments to assure the accuracy of costs and other financial reporting; monitor key financial facility performance indicators.
· Monitor inventory-related activities and conduct periodic inventory counts with operations to ensure inventory valuation is properly stated.
· Provides financial analysis support for management, such as cost analysis for new product lines; margin analysis for products, customers, and territories; shrink and labor analysis; other necessary analysis as requested by management.
· Manage vendor inquiries and customer rebate programs: assist with contracts and general farm purchases.
· Manage departmental personnel matters, including evaluations, training, performance issues, and hiring.
· Enforce and comply with all GMP/HACCP and Safety rules and regulations. Attend and/or conduct Safety meetings as required Participate in preparation of the annual budget, assisting all areas as needed.
· Maintain capital accounts, files, and reporting.
· Assist in annual audits.
· Safeguard company assets.

Supervisory Responsibility:
Direct Reports: A/P, A/R, Payroll/Staff Accountant
In addition to managing current direct reports; this position manages all employees of the department and is responsible for the performance management within that department.
· Responsible for interviewing, selecting, and training direct reports.
· Is responsible for reviewing performance and administers corrective action.
· Plans the work schedules, assigns duties, tracks absenteeism and reviews work to ensure quality standards.
· Responsible for monitoring work for legal or regulatory compliance.
· Observes and practices safety and housekeeping procedures at all times.

· Project management experience
· Bilingual (Spanish/English)
