Job Duties: Design, develop and deploy software solutions that ensures faster time to market. Build and implement performance sensitive software systems that serve tens of millions of requests each day. Develop key components of PayPal’s platform via pair programming with other engineers. Translate product requirements to functional requirements and define acceptance criteria at Epic/Story level. Review software code and take accountability in ensuring high standards of code quality with zero production defects. Identify and prioritize technology excellence initiatives/debts in every opportunity to bring customer delight and improve productivity. Partner with business units, product management, program management and cross-functional teams to deliver business results with agility and high quality. Partial telecommuting permitted from within a commutable distance.
Job Description:
Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field plus two years of experience in the job offered, as an MTS 1 Software Engineer, or a related occupation. Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering or a closely related field plus five years of experience in the job offered, as an MTS 1 Software Engineer, or a related occupation.
