National Account Manager
Summary
Direct all sales and customer support activities for a key strategic account. Responsible for the execution of sales and supply chain strategies. Work closely with the customer to ensure alignment with goals, expectations and implement processes and procedures to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction. Lead a team of outside sales, inside sales, and on-site services to achieve operational excellence.
Responsibilities
Manage all sales activities for key account.
Find and develop new sales opportunities.
Coordinate the activities for other outside sales representatives.
Monitor and improve service levels using computer systems.
Manage quotes, incoming orders, backorders, and cost savings initiatives.
Work on continuous improvement projects.
Work with the Inside Sales support team to improve and/or automate the order capture and entry processes.
Coordinate all activities for delivery and point-of-use logistics personnel.
Maintain compliance with customer and contract expectations.
Manage day to day activities with key account.
Desired Skills and Experience
5 Years of experience leading a team
7 years sales and customer service experience in Industrial Supply environment with familiarity of vendors and products involved.
Strong understanding of industrial supply company order and inventory systems and processes.
Demonstrated knowledge of supply chain implementations
Database management skills
Knowledge of process improvement methodologies
Computer skills including Microsoft Office tools.
