The Benefits Senior Account Manager is a customer service oriented, detail-focused, individual with a passion for employee benefits who works closely with our clients to implement their benefit programs. This role interacts extensively with clients and carriers and requires excellent verbal and written communication skills.

DESCRIPTION
Works in partnership with Employee Benefits Sales Executives on new client acquisition. Provide ongoing support and service to clients in conjunction with the Sales Executive and/or Consultant assisting with existing clients by performing a variety of tasks. Serves as the primary business contact for Clients and is responsible for possessing and applying knowledge of industry trends and related regulations in the course of servicing Client’s accounts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Other duties may be assigned.
Primary contact for clients on benefit program changes and questions, and oversees the servicing of a designated book of business as it relates to marketing, claims and administration
Responsible for scheduling, planning and performing Client open enrollment meetings. Request carrier materials for open enrollment meetings and prepare handouts.
Maintain positive relationships with appropriate personnel at client firms to assure retention of accounts
Monitor and research market trends, carrier products offerings and information that will increase knowledge of the insurance industry, our clients and market verticals
Assist with marketing of accounts for new business including, but not limited to the following:
Collect client renewal data, attend pre-renewal meeting if required
Obtain preliminary renewal indications from underwriters, facilitate renewal strategy
Follow-up with renewal underwriters for quotes
Negotiate terms, conditions and pricing of accounts
Review and finalize proposals
Participate in client presentations
Issue binding instructions to successful carriers
Assist with preparation and implementation of stewardship reports and service plans
Develop open enrollment materials, including summaries, carrier information and other pertinent information as requested by clients
Responsible for integrity of policy data on Agency Management systems
Resolve implementation and eligibility issues
Assist with client billing audits
Travel – 25% of the time
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
HYBRID WORK SCHEDULE
This position qualifies for up to 2 days per week remote work.
Starting pay for exempt position is $70,000-$90,000/annually . Pay may exceed this range for well-qualified candidates, commensurate with experience.
Requirements:
Education and Work Experience
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or four to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Current or obtain Colorado Life & Health Insurance License within 2 months of hire date
Actively pursue industry designations as required to perform the duties of the position
Requires current Colorado driver’s license and acceptable MVR

Must be able to use hands to finger, handle, or feel, talk or hear, sit over 2/3 of the time
