You are a great candidate for this position if you:
• have a scrappy generalist vibe plus business development experience in early-stage food
startups;
• have experience closing contracts and agreements with food service operators for CPG
products;
• have experience getting a CPG food product into distribution channels;
• you are not afraid of exploring undefined territories: making assumptions, testing them,
being proved wrong, reflecting and reporting on what you have learned;
• you are very practical and can make things happen but also want to be in the room when
we decide on strategy.
Responsibilities
• Manage the sales process of our butter and finalize the first agreements with food service
customers;
• Be a key player in getting our first product into distribution channels;
• Support our internal and external product development teams, including our co-manufacturers,
bringing input and guidance on the product design, pricing strategy and
production schedule;
• Support with initial pop-ups and activations, as well as social media content, as early
commercialization efforts.
Qualifications/Skills
• 3+ years of experience working at an early-stage startup;
• Experience in working on innovative food consumer packaged goods, and launching them
to the market;
• Sales experience with food service operators and chefs;
• Confidence and excitement to collaborate with technical people;
• Dedication to building a safe, inclusive, and strongly values-driven work environment;
• Ability to travel 10-20% of the time for conferences, visits, activations.
Bonus Points:
• Experience with butter or another dairy products;
• Experience with running sensory tests, limited activations, pop-ups and social media
content creation.
